About the role

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland (ABI Ireland) is in the process of developing its new 5-year strategic plan. This is a prime opportunity for a dynamic Director of People and Culture to make a significant impact and help shape the future of the organisation. The role has accountability for optimal organisational structures, people processes and policies, and tools to enable attraction and retention of the best talent.  The Director of People and Culture is also responsible for ensuring that the culture and values of ABI Ireland are lived through organisational strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a people strategy that maps to the Organisation’s strategy and delivers tangible outcomes.
  • Oversee key drivers of engagement at ABI Ireland whilst devising creative initiatives to continuously develop a positive workplace culture.
  • Oversee the delivery of HR operations, performance management, L&D, talent acquisition, and internal communications to support the design of key HR initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation of a new HRIS system.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and act as their trusted advisor.
  • Overall responsibility for GDPR adherence.

 

Requirements

  • Successful experience in a similar HR leadership role.
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic and innovative thinking and execution.
  • Strong change management and project management experience, having worked on the delivery of key HR projects.
  • Demonstrated success in Employee Relations and HR best practice.
  • Competent in advising on issues that have employment law implications.
  • Strong HRIS experience and payroll oversight experience.
