As a renowned youth expert, much of Sheena’s 20+ years career has involved supporting and advising youth and family-centred organisations: designing and delivering educational and engagement programmes, creating communication campaigns, providing insight, crisis guidance and extensive media commentary.
Sheena is a long-standing youth advocate for digital literacy and protection. She created Ireland’s first media literacy programme for primary schools MediaWise and is also a member of the (global) Internet Commission’s Advisory and Scrutiny Committees.
During her tenure as CEO at Drinkaware, the charity’s education programme expanded to over 273 secondary schools, Sheena was involved in teacher training and parents talks. She oversaw extensive youth and family-focused research including Maynooth University’s evaluation of the schools’ programme, a research paper on Young Adults, and a qualitative research study with parents.
A producer and journalist, Sheena’s credits include the investigative radio documentary "Is Childhood Shrinking?" (Newstalk) and the series "Meet The Grandparents" (RTE).
Patricia is the Director of Funding Services at 2into3. Patricia lives in her native city of Armagh and has been a consultant for over a decade after a career in the public and voluntary sector across the island of Ireland and in London. She has worked for local authorities, government departments and social enterprises at a senior level before embarking on consulting in 2005.
She holds a BSc Hons in Management from Ulster University; BA Hons in Economics from University of Manchester and completed a Master of Arts in Irish History in her spare time. She is an experienced and qualified PRINCE II project manager and has led on a number multi million pound EU funded projects. She has particular experience in the rural development sector and LEADER funding across Northern Ireland, having previously sat on the Board of the regional LEADER company. Previously she oversaw the completion of an all Island diversity training programme within the public sector, a first of its kind. She sits as a Board Member to the Probation Board NI due to her interest and insight into social justice and is also a mentor within the NI Boardroom Apprentice scheme.
Patricia is a proud mum to three children and loves nothing better than family picnics with soggy sandwiches and packet of crisps, even in the back garden.
As Head of Talent Services at 2into3, Shannon leads our Talent Services Team with strategic oversight of all campaigns managed by our recruiters, ensuring a smooth experience for all. A CIPD Associate with a MA in Human Resource Management from the National College of Ireland, Shannon has extensive experience of sourcing and placing senior leaders in the social impact sector, from Chief Executive Officers to Fundraisers, Service Managers, Finance Directors and those in Advocacy and Operations roles.
Shannon is passionate about collaborating with organisations who wish to have a transformative social impact. Having recently completed the Certified Charity Trustee Programme (TU Dublin), she is committed to supporting boards and nonprofit hiring managers with recruiting senior leaders in line with good governance and best practice, and to leading an agile team who can adapt to changes in the talent market - sourcing and presenting a diverse range of candidates to our clients.
Shannon has experience of partnering with a variety of youth-based organisations to attract skilled talent, including St. Andrews Resource Centre (CEO); Jigsaw (Service Manager) and Young Social Innovators (CEO).
