Ben Marnell is an Associate within the Public Funding Services team at 2into3, supporting community organisations and sports clubs to identify and apply for public funding, including the Community Sports Facilities Fund (CSFF).

Ben holds a joint honours degree in Information & Communication Technology and Linguistics from University College Dublin, along with HubSpot and Google certifications in sales and digital marketing.

Prior to joining 2into3, Ben spent seven years coaching hockey at school, club and international level, including as Head Coach and Coordinator of the junior boys’ section at Avoca Hockey Club. In 2026, he coached the Irish Ladies O55s to victory at the Four Nations and sixth place at the World Cup.

Ben is also President of Roundnet Ireland, where he grew the active player base from 10 to more than 160 in just over three months and founded the first Irish women’s squad to compete internationally. He has represented Ireland at two World Championships, captaining the team in 2026. Building a sport from the ground up has given him first-hand insight into the funding, facilities and volunteer pressures facing the clubs he now supports.

Away from work, you’ll usually find Ben in the sea or on a pitch, whether that’s roundnet, hockey or whatever new sport has caught his eye.
