About the Role

The Order is seeking to appoint a new Head of Fundraising who will play a crucial role in the future development of resourcing the MSC Mission and manging the Missions Office. The appointment comes at a crucial time for the Order, with opportunities to both nurture existing funder relationships and develop new and sustainable fundraising programmes through digital fundraising.

The Head of Fundraising will contribute to the vision and ideals of the Order by ensuring the organisation achieves its goals and objectives through the design, administration, and implementation of fundraising and promotional campaigns; and through the effective management of the day-to-day operations of the MSC Missions Office.

This will include the management of existing fundraising streams, the development of new fundraising streams, as well as staff management, Missions Office financial management, Health and Safety and IT oversight of the Missions Office.

The Head of Fundraising will also work closely with the Mission Office Director, who acts as a spokesperson for the organisation, by building and maintaining an active relationship with MSC benefactors/donors. Together, they will work towards creating an understanding of the work and aims of MSC.

The post-holder will have a strategic mindset with a demonstrable track record in direct mail, legacies, and digital fundraising. They will be a strong leader, confident managing a multi-functional team within agreed parameters in relation to finance, staffing, operational standards, and reporting; and will have empathy for the ethos and culture of a faith-based missionary organisation.
