
Associate Grants & Economic Services Consultant
Purpose & Context
As the scale and demand of 2into3’s Grant & Economic Services Practice continues to increase, we are seeking to engage an Associate Consultant to lead the delivery of assignments for 2into3 with a variety of clients across the nonprofit sector.
The purpose of the role is to lead delivery of Grant & Economic Services assignments for 2into3. Once terms to engage in Grant & Economic services are agreed between 2into3 and the client, the Associate Consultant will assume responsibility for delivering the agreed plan and process, from start to finish. The Associate Consultant will work to an agreed schedule and follow 2into3’s methodology throughout – remaining flexible and responsive to the client needs. The Associate Consultant will keep the Director and client updated on progress and consult or seek the advice or the direct intervention of the team as appropriate. They will also have access to 2into3’s systems, applications, resources and sectoral knowledge that will support them in delivery.
Objectives
Deliver high quality and on-budget Grants & Economic assignments using 2into3’s methodology which will include:
- Grant Applications
- Feasibility Studies
- Business Cases
- Business Plans
- Financial Appraisals up to Public Spending Code grade
- Lead client communication regarding project delivery and outcomes.
- Ensure the Director is informed of project progress, including possible risks to delivery and possible solutions.
- Utilise and maintain 2into3 systems, resources and processes.
- Identify new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Deliver and project manage end-to-end assignments using 2into3’s methodology to client satisfaction and on budget which will include:
- Lead background research, data gathering and analysis from the client and the market.
- Plan and facilitate workshops and meetings – including involvement of Director, as needed.
- Prepare client-ready presentations, reports, research papers and other materials including the final Grant application and related documentation.
- Lead stakeholder consultations in line with project scope, agreed process and budget.
- Lead communications with the client regarding project delivery and outputs.
- Consult and advise clients on all aspects of the Grant & Economic Service process.
- Ensure the Director is kept informed of project progress, including possible risks to delivery and possible solutions.
- Utilise and maintain 2into3 systems, resources and processes.
- Contribute to the continual development of 2into3’s Grant & Economic Services methodology.
- Attend prospective client briefing meetings with Grant Advisory Lead.
- Identify new business opportunities.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Knowledge of the grants landscape from local and national government and EU grant sources.
- Track record of submitting Grant application for capital build projects over €250k and core funding for nonprofit organisations.
- Third Level qualification
- Experience of Project Management
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the nonprofit sector
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience in managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Excel, and Zoom
- Ability to take ownership of work
Desirable:
- Expertise in a specific sub-sector (e.g. social enterprise, local development, social care)
- Expertise in capital build projects
- Project Management qualifications
- Financial numeracy and experience of preparing budgets and financial plans
