Area Housing Services Manager – Co-operative Housing Ireland

About Co-Operative Housing Ireland

Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI) was founded in 1973 and is the national organisation representing, promoting, and developing co-operative housing in Ireland. Since their foundation they have provided over 5,700 homes through homeownership, shared ownership, and social rented co-operatives. With their membership of democratically controlled local co-operatives, they continue to manage over 4000 homes across Ireland as well as providing a network of childcare services in their communities.

About the Role

CHI continues to promote the co-operative housing sector as a solution to housing needs throughout Ireland. As a result of the rapid expansion in their activity, a need has been identified for an Area Housing Services Manager who will ensure the provision of high-quality services to CHI members and facilitate the continued growth of the organisation by managing and supporting the development of CHI Housing Officers, in the Greater Dublin Area.

Reporting to the National Housing Services Manager, the Area Housing Services Manager will be responsible for several local communities and will actively contribute to the development of a rapidly growing and changing organisation at a national level.

CHI are seeking an individual with experience in tenancy and estate management, and a proven record of managing a team effectively. They will be expected to work with colleagues to deliver high quality and consistent service to members and assist with the preparation and monitoring of budgets.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the provision of social housing, including the policy, legislative and regulatory frameworks governing the sector; and will be passionate about CHI’s purpose. They will integrate well with internal and external stakeholders and bring colleagues along through their passion, enthusiasm, and knowledge of the business.
